As with the 4th hole, the fairway runs parallel to the shore. Draw the ball from the tee out over the out of bounds or play safe by hitting a fade towards the 7th fairway.
Whatever the tee shot, the second shot rarely has a flat lie due to the distinctive uneven links terrain. Another sloping green is well protected by two bunkers to the right, by large impenetrable gorse bushes to the left and by out of bounds behind the green.
