The warm Wigtownshire welcome stops at the clubhouse.
Our opening hole provides a testing start to every round, even more so if the wind is blowing. A relatively tight fairway bordered by out of bounds and thick rough to the left with trees and thick rough to the right.
Two bunkers, 190 yards from the tee, sit either side of the fairway. Large gorse bushes protect the green’s right hand side and devour any wayward approach shots.
