Our clubhouse has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All members of the public, including non-golfers are always welcome. There is no formal dress code. Our stewards, Jimmy and Lesley Caldwell have looked after members and visitors for over twenty years. Both have been key in developing Wigtownshire County Golf Club’s reputation as Scottish Golf’s hidden gem. Friendliness is at the very heart of our small club. Pay a visit and you will soon be on first name terms with Jimmy and Lesley.

The clubhouse has a bar, a comfortable seated area with tables (recently refurbished) and a dining room that allows diners to enjoy views of the first tee, the first fairway and the eighteenth green through large conservatory style windows.

Food is served throughout the day. The menu is a great example of traditional Scottish snacks and main meals (Lesley’s steak pie is a particular highlight) complimented by other well-known staples such as Macaroni and Lasagne. Homemade scones, cakes and sponges are delicious and are renowned locally. A wide range of warming soups is also homemade, just the ticket after a cold day on the course or after a brisk walk along the shores of beautiful Luce Bay.
